Life Observations

I’m currently watching a couple of new shows – The Musketeers which I am thoroughly enjoying, and True Detective. I was unsure of True Detective but I like it. I was really excited when I came across Black Sails but it’s not really that good. The characters aren’t really convincing, but I really liked the music. Also added swears words doesn’t make a character sound tough and no nonsense – I was disappointed with the whole thing.

I’m also working my way through Zelda: Spirit Tracks. I’m enjoying this as well. I play it mostly while I’m waiting for the train which is kinda funny for me.

But the point of this post – I’ve noticed when I’m in pain [not migraine pain] I don’t like to watch TV instead I prefer playing games. It’s all I want to do, but I don’t – I go to work and study like I should.

Adulthood – a strange mix of obligation and freedom.

For the first time in my entire life I’m suffering from hayfever. What a nightmare!

So I’ve come up with two plans of action – one, vacuum everyday and two, hang my blanket out every morning [cat sleeps on my bed]. In addition, I’m attempting to cut down my caffeine and sugar intake. Not cut out – that’s too drastic and I don’t think cutting something out completely is a good idea. I still want to enjoy my life. I hoping this all leads to less pain in my face and head, which will leave me with more time to do the things I do.

I recently bought myself a 2DS, it’s really quite cool and I’m enjoying it. One of the games I bought was The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks, and despite having a train on the cover I thought it was something to do with music. But it’s to do with trains which is so much better – I love trains and I’m a train driver (actually an engineer but I drive trains). And my little train has a cannon~! Which I also love.

What I’m not enjoying is how long it takes me to figure out rather simple puzzles. When I bought my GBA and played FFI and the Minish Cap as I saw things I could see what to do. Now, not so much. It’s been a while since I played anything other than Final Fantasy on the PlayStation and simple things are really eluding me. Luckily there is the internet and walkthoughs which save me from tantrum like rage.
