I once read that a spinster is a woman of thirty or over that is not married.  So today I am a spinster.  However, the word has such negative connotations it is unlikely I will ever use it to describe myself.  Besides, I don’t think that is the only meaning of the word.  Words sometimes gain meaning as a language grows.

Arakawa has a new manga out – Silver Spoon.  I’m going to check it out later, first I need to finish my Micfic.  I would like to say I totally abandoned it in favour of doing nothing yesterday but L and Beyah were around so nothing happened anyway.

What kind of laziness is it when I would rather take a pile of books to someone instead of typing up a list, emailing it and someone else takes the books over next week?  How obscure but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m going to do that.

Almost time to go home.  but I’ll be stopping off at the shops to buy goods for my party tomorrow.  And booze for cocktails.  A Saturday of baking ahead.  I also need to make up something for work on Monday.  I also have a desire to make cheesecake 😀

And sew!  My machine has been returned and hopefully working properly.  No more stupidity from it.

Tomorrow morning is going to be rather interesting.  The maid was off on Friday and I leave before everyone else so the dishes and bins have had this lovely warm weekend to… stew.  I think that is a good word.  Interesting might not be a good word though, maybe ripe would be better.

Sent off my last assignment this morning.  All that’s left are exams sometime in May.  I haven’t received my final exam timetable but provisionally they are quite spaced which I do like.  I don’t really like writing two exams in one day, I’ve done it twice and it’s rather draining.  But for today, I shall continue writing a bit o’ fanfiction 🙂

Over the last two weeks or so I’ve found myself to be rather restless when watching TV.  Akichan ordered a bunch of QI and I really like it but battle to sit through an episode.  And its not like I think I should be doing something more constructive because I happily lose myself for hours in the so-so novel I’m reading.

Saw a picture of Stephanie Meyer and Kristen Stewart together somewhere with a joke about Twilight and Twiheavy – it took me  a second to get because my first thought was ‘Mary-sue’.

Is the ‘Sue’ in ‘Mary- sue’ capitalised?  Mary-Sue?  Hmm…?  Looks a bit odd like that.

But now so does ‘Mary-sue’.
