Bugs

I enjoy conversations I have with L.  Sometimes though, they are terribly strange.  Such as this one as we were walking home from the park this afternoon.

L: Oh, bugs.

Me:  Where?

L:  In my bum.

Me:  In… your bum?

L:  No, no, coming out my bum and flying into the sky – with birds.

You can learn all sorts of things talking to a 3.5 year old.

I’m also in a serious predicament.  HRV1601 is trickier than I thought  – I thought I would be able to side step all the religious stuff.  Within the study guide I can but I downloaded past exam papers and discovered that my choice of available questions sometimes left me with an insufficient number of questions I could answer in order to pass.  The main problem is that I know next to nothing about religion – any of them.  I grew up in a house that did not practice any religion, I did not go to church, I did not attend religious studies at school, I don’t know how church or houses of worship work, I don’t know what their purposes are [do they serve a purpose – I don’t know!].

The second problem is that I’m not interested.  Human rights and its relevance to the church?  Who cares?  Besides, they say ‘church’ and not any of the other houses of worship so human rights and Christian faith is what they are saying.  It’s so backward.  And so incredibly frustrating as some of the points within study guide are very good, and every person should be made aware of these points.  For example, it talks about ‘the art of living together’ where the ‘rights of the individual are connected to his/her duties and obligations to society’ and that individuals are part of society and must find their ‘humanity within society and have respect for the values of society’.  Nobody lives in isolation and to be part of society means obeying certain rules and having respect for those around you.  These are good points that have nothing to do with religion but everything to do with social understanding of an individual within a group.  RAGE~!

I think Protectors of the Earth by Two Steps from Hell is one of my favourite pieces of music at the moment.  I also have a piece from one of the Prince of Persia games but I don’t know which one – I like it a lot.  My ultimate favourite is still the OCRemix The Lost Horizon.
