Wasteful

I find dishwashers to be fairly wasteful.  I know many people love them but I’m not one of those people.  I find the hot chemical smell when you open the door offensive, the washer eventually destroys the glaze, the dishes feel gritty and I can’t stand the after taste left on the mug.  Apart from the space they occupy, they use a lot of water especially as you have to rinse some dishes before putting them in the washer.  They also use power, and in the case of old dishwashers, a lot of power.

There is an old dishwasher as work – power and water hungry.  And it washes cups.  Occasionally a plate but a fair amount of coffee and tea cups pass through its door.   I used to wash the few cups in the morning until I discover that the maid will wash any amount of dishes in the afternoon – five, ten, twenty, a full load, it doesn’t matter.  So in order to save a little bit of water I don’t do any dishes and just pile them into the washer.  If its got to work at least it should have a full load.  It’s completely backwards.  One sink of water will wash all the dishes accumulated during the day.

Speaking of a waste, the Kreepy has decided to only clean one area of the pool – piece of crap machine.
