Shadow of the Colossus OST

June 30, 2009 at 20:23 (Uncategorized)

Some awesome music, some pretty music and some music that I don’t want to hear while fighting a boss – scary; it’s like trying to beat Sephiroth with One Winged Angel playing. You’re just going to die.

I really don’t like it when characters die and then come back to life – if you die, you have to stay dead.  However, I am very fond of Jason [Batman – Under the Hood] but he died but he is so awesome.  Plus, I was secretly pleased certain ninja didn’t stay dead in Naruto.  I just don’t know where I stand anymore.

The first half of this year was truly a mess – moving, study overload, pain, loneliness but I am feeling quite positive for the second half of the year.  If things go according to plan, I should be driving by October.  In a car.  With me behind the wheel.  I am feeling quite… sick at the thought.

Full Metal Kitty

I have a collection of Hello Kitty items – I don’t actually buy the stuff for myself; it gets given to me but I love it.  I especially love my new Full Metal Alchemist Hello Kitty Cellphone Charm.  Full Metal Kitty

Yes, I possess this…

Revenge of the Fallen

June 26, 2009 at 12:40 (Uncategorized)

It’s so COOL!  You actually get to see some robot fighting action –  it made me happy.  And I’m going to see it again this evening 😀  I saw a preview for GI Joe – I know nothing about GI Joe but I’m assuming it’s army stuff and boys loved it when I was a kid but the trailer looked so awesome.  And I want to see the new Terminator movie.

I don’t think there is a character more manipulated then Sasuke… poor guy.

Failing

June 23, 2009 at 20:41 (Uncategorized)

I failed the Advanced proofreading because, as always, I over edit.  I keep failing because of this.  But I have Basic status – I must learn to control my urges to manipulate other peoples’ writings.  I should think of my writing [proofing] style  as I think of my food and music tastes – they are different and I’m the only one that really likes them the way they are.  But I’m not going to change them 😛  I’ll just momentarily adapt them to the situation 🙂

Poison

June 22, 2009 at 20:49 (Uncategorized)

I’ve come across many girls [here and elsewhere] that fear bats because they nest in long hair [I honestly don’t know] but my tussle last night was with a moth.  It was trying my patience – I wanted to free it to the great outdoors and it wanted to hide in my hair.  I eventually won.

Small creatures don’t stand a chance in MB.  When I shop I sometimes [all the time] check out what other people are buying and wonder what they could be cooking with what’s in their trolley – very little cooking goes on from what I can see but much reheating.  But there is always a can of something – Doom, Raid, Ridder.  A poison for plants or animals.  As much as I fear spiders, I cannot actually kill them – poisons or otherwise – I live around them in a life long dance of avoidance.

Mangahelpers is doing some awesome work toward getting decent translating out there for manga.  And when I have more than +0 in Translating Skills, I’ll dive right in but for now I’ve completed a proofreaders test.  Mostly it wasn’t bad except the one section where I was forced to read Ice Revolution – Holy Hell Alchemist!  I am a girl but I do not get girl manga.  No wonder girls are so messed up.

Cycle

June 21, 2009 at 13:29 (Uncategorized)

I went for a ride with my father this morning around the suburb.  It was a bit weird getting used to the suspension and two sets of gears but by the end of it I had it sorted – I thought the last time I cycled was about 15 years ago but then I remembered I had a bike in England [five years ago] and was nearly run over by some woman.  We were both on the right sides of the road but as she watched me she ended up steering toward me.  With a quick turn I was on the pavement and she realised what she was doing, straightened the car and continued on her way – craziness.

But what is crazier are the houses in MB – ugly! Wow!  I saw three [3] houses with pillars on either side of the drive with huge eagles on top – wings spread.  I saw a ‘wishing well’ and, what I’ve never seen before, a concrete basket [woven looking] about 1.5m across with a high handle painted white.  I think it’s supposed to be a flowerpot.  And an array of dogs.  Some chased my father and while trying to fend off the little mut, the other got ridden over.  I hate it when people don’t control their dogs – the roads belong to everyone and not everyone likes dogs and even less liked to be chased.  Keep it in a garden or on a leash!

Girl shoes

June 20, 2009 at 16:45 (Uncategorized)

MB has a number of video stores. Most have boxsets along the lines of Lost and Desperate Housewives – crap I don’t watch.  But I found one that has CSI Miami Season 5 – I was looking for season 4 but watched 5 anyway [in a day].  Walking back from the video today, a guy crossed my path.  A manly guy with a scowly face and macho walk but he wore white girly shoes that clacked as he walked – it was odd.

Carouse

June 17, 2009 at 11:25 (Uncategorized)

Is a nightclub in MB.  I have been there twice – strangely both on a Monday night.  There are two pool tables, a terrace outside, a dance floor, a bar and the worst DJ ever.  Dismissing the music he plays [which is not the best], he doesn’t blend songs into each other – track one ends, track two starts.  If you are lucky there is no gap in between the two.  And if you are really lucky, the beat is similar.

The flashing lights did my head in though – wow!  The Pain!  The Sickness!  But it’s all over now.

EDIT: 19/06/09 – I forgot to mention one other thing about Carouse but this is more about the people that frequent it.  They take off their shoes to dance – bare feet and socks.  And piles of shoes on the sidelines.
