Reflection…

I do like the way Naruto is going.  Though I feel Sasuke is, yet again, being manipulated – poor guy.

New developments in Naruto… not too sure I like them… but they are kinda cool… well, justified maybe.

Maybe I do like them…

Go me!

I won two of my three Go games last night – so pleased 🙂

Once again I’m hungering for Naruto… SO much has been revealed.

As per usually Naruto was cool – all the ends were tied up nicely and now I have to wait another week…

All exams are done for now – the multilingualism was awesome.  It is the first exam that I enjoyed writing and was somewhat excited while writing it.  It was a trill similar to reading Naruto; I am discovering that I love the subject more than I thought.  The working everyday is messing about with my Japanese.  I can’t doing it during the day and all the evening slots are, naturally, taken.  It’s annoying but I have to try find a way; I miss it – it’s hard work and I often struggle but I still miss it.

I’m rereading some David Gemmell – by far my most favourite author, followed by Garth Nix.  I also love Sharon Penman.  I’m working my way through the Rigante series (my favourite) to follow with the Drenai (my second favourite).  Though my main love is still Full Metal Alchemist.  I’m waiting for a parcel that has yet to be sent but contains the FFXII manga.  Apart from being a FF manga it was also bought in Japan so it’s super cool and it is a birthday present.

I’ve just finished a short kimono for a customer – it’s white and she is going to paint it for a project.  I don’t know details but initially when she asked me, she asked for it to be knitted but was meaning sewing… after some confusion it was sorted and done.  I was very good and finished before reading Naruto – man, I’m obsessed with Naruto this evening.

I’m also doing a final read through for a proof-reading project and will send it out on Monday.  It has taken longer than usual because it’s set in America so the translator wanted American English.  The translator is actually Spanish (I think) and he is translating from Japanese to English – impressive.

I was in a Go tournament last Saturday – I didn’t mean to play but there was an odd number of players so I ended up playing to make up the numbers.  It was okay but I don’t know if I would play again…  it was so serious – I don’t even take FF that seriously.  It is about the fun of the game for me.

Naruto 400 – I can’t help but see the delicate, delicate thread of Sasuke’s santiy snap in the last frame.

Okay, so the evil exam is done and I’m in two minds as to whether I passed.  It was a horrible feeling to read questions (in English) and not know the answers; to not even understand the questions.  But if I have to rewrite, I suppose I will have to rewrite…  And Alchemist was so awesome 🙂

Breath of Fire

May 9, 2008 at 18:45 (Uncategorized)

I spend most of the day playing this – it’s fun but when I realised I was to play the princess, this thought popped into my head ‘I’m going to be captured and I will have to rescue myself…’

Naruto was so cool this week and Bleach was good – not as cool as Naruto though.  But then I’m more of a Naruto fan.

The shop is doing well so far for May – I’m very pleased.  If it does well (and June) I’ll be able to go up to Icon.  Next week is my first exam – introduction to theory of literature.  I know about 40% of this subject at the moment but now I have assignment three back I can increase my knowledge on topics that are lacking.  Finished multilingualism yesterday – I really enjoyed 🙂

My face is beaming

May 7, 2008 at 19:03 (Uncategorized)

At Go last night I was told that I play well for a beginner 🙂  I didn’t win but managed to join 8 of my 9 stone handicap to take most of the middle of the board but I lost stones so lost points 😦  I also set up traps – they were foiled but they were there.  It was a really good game.

NEWS – I can see the floor of my stock room AND there is a path that leads from the front to the back.  I can also see most of my stock as well.  More accurately I can see the bags that hold my stock.  It’s all possible through massive donation to St. Luke’s to follow by a ragdoll donation to the Red Cross.  They (St Luke’s) collect tomorrow so boxes don’t have to lay around the shop for ages.

The washing machine is going to be serviced on Tuesday and hopefully start washing clothes again – hand washing is annoying but no real effort.  Naruto this week and Alchemist next week but THL802 exam next week 😦

ER

May 4, 2008 at 18:06 (Uncategorized)

No Friday night would be complete without a trip to the ER – or so I’ve heard tell.  So, in that case my Friday night/Saturday morning was complete.  I woke with severe chest pain after taking some stuff for a migraine.  After a few hours in ER with tests and x-rays I was given the all clear to go home.  It was nothing but pressure from my stomach that made it appear that the pain was from breathing.  No more drugs on an empty stomach!  I know this but I was nauseous and didn’t want to eat.

On the plus [o_O] side I did get intravenous drugs for my migraine – they worked really well.
