If I won the lotto…

May 31, 2007 at 18:45 (Uncategorized)

A friend and I were talking the other day and saying that since there is no lotto at the moment, we can’t play this game anymore.  It’s not as much fun to say when the lotto returns and if I win I’ll do (whatever).  Not that either of us remember to buy the tickets; I’m put off if there is a queue or I don’t have the right change.

I’m going on holiday – yay!  I’m going to Mossel Bay for a week next week.  I’ll more than likely get up and dress in the mornings, I’ll defiantly eat; I’m taking my GBA with me (I’ll attempt the end of Zelda again – frigging wind … timed things) as well as pen and paper – possibly a book.  Other than that I’m not planning of doing much else at all.  One thing I must do before I leave is clear out my camera’s memory – it’s full of cats and sewing tasks.

I handed in my notice for the dungeon today – eep.  As of the end of June I’ll have one less job but it’ll give me time to actually study.  I wrote another Japanese poem but not sure whether to show Sensei; the first two sentences are difficult and I’m not sure about them at all.  The rest of the poem is okay but I don’t know…  there is a get together tomorrow night for sushi (yuk) so I was toying with the idea of showing him then but I think I will email it rather.

As mentioned before FFX is my favourite game, however, I was surprised at how little I know about it as I wrote The Fight for Spira – it may be because I’m still playing it and haven’t yet finished.  In my defense, I’ve had to start it three times owing to Aki-chan having moments of silliness and copy over my games (she did this in KH once as well -terrible really J).  And it’s back to FFVII – imagine VII for the PS3 with the battle system of FFXII.  Aki-chan and I have decided were this to happen we would buy the game; even if we don’t have the PS3 yet.

It’s the writing groups first meet on Saturday… I’ve been preparing all the info for my OF and trying to set up something to read but everything is rubbish – I’ll just stick with my original chapter one.  I also just remembered I have to finish my A&S for Saturday as well – basically print documentation.    Fiction note:  Hee hee – much work has been done.

A Serial killer and his victim are walking into the dark, creepy

The victim says in a terified voice, “I’m really scared!!”

The killer replies, ” You’re scared? I have to walk back by myself!”

I get lost

Things not to do while waiting for stuff to bake:

Study Japanese – bad

Read manga – very bad

Look up something in Wikipedia – mostly okay

Hang up washing outside – worst; can’t smell burning

Kitchen clock vs PC clock – not the same time

Though nothing yet that can’t be eaten (after a fashion).

More stuphs…

May 28, 2007 at 13:46 (Uncategorized)

I’ve been thinking a lot lately.  Basically I don’t want to be doing my current working and study thing when I’m thirty, while thirty is by no means old – it’s just not something I want to be doing.  So I’m leaving the dungeon at the end of June to study.   This year I want to finish the other course I’ve been doing and start next year studying full time – still at Unisa because they have the degree I want.

However, this means a lot less money so no manga (wah).  It also means I’m not starting my sewing business but may occasionally sew stuff for other people – strangers, I’ll always sew for friends.

One thing I always do after I cut my hair is use way too much shampoo so there are suds everywhere.  Then there is ‘running out’ of hair when I brush it.  I cut it last night after work so by tomorrow I’ll be used to the idea.

I am so pleased with Naruto at the moment, Bleach not so happy – still fighting.  And it’s still some time till Hagaren.

Fiction note:  DAY FOUR COMPLETE, well apart from one or two sections that need some major editing but it’s done.  Without a doubt out by the end of June (aki-chan needs to proof-read).

I do actually try to control my coke intake.  Apart from being bad for you, it contains caffeine which keeps me going even if I’m tired.   While this is great for working at the dungeon, it’s not so good for going to sleep at night so I’ve decided to not drink coke after 16h00; unfortunately I only got the coke after 16h00 today so I’ll drink only one glass (or at least try).

Japanese today was a bit slow because Sensei couldn’t hear me very well so I would answer him and while he tried to figure out what I said – I worried that I had said it wrong.  But over all it wasn’t a bad lesson considering the five week break while Sensei went to Japan.

The only problem I have with reading Shonen manga is that occasionally pages are just filled with long drawn out fights.   Bleach is currently going through a series of fights, they are cool sometimes but really long and I get impatient for the story to continue.  Naruto currently is really cool though, Kishimoto is bringing all the other ninja back into the story -yay!

Good news – my gyser has been fixed and it’s a solar power one which is cool.  Though the hot water smells really funny (like hot resin) but that should fade (I hope).

Fiction note:  I’m about a third of the way through Day Four rewrite; it’s going okay.  I did write a scene for the FFX, VII and VIII crossover but there is still no story (heh).  I’ve playing with a Bleach/FMA cross over (mangaverse) but not actually putting any effort into it yet as I want to complete Day Four first.

The most popular game for remake?  I’ll give you one guess…

Too much sleep

May 15, 2007 at 09:52 (Uncategorized)

I’m not a fan of taking medication, I only really take if I have a migraine, normally I just go to sleep.  But I admitted defeat yesterday and took stuff for my ‘wisdom’ tooth.  They are all out but one wanted to be more out than the other – it was tired of being a chibi tooth.   I spent all of yesterday sleeping and all of last night so now I’ve had too much sleep.

This is my daemon and somehow I’m supposed to be able to have something pretty about my daemon here and the people can do stuff such as agree but I don’t know how to do that.  It’s a moth.

I wonder sometimes

May 8, 2007 at 10:30 (Uncategorized)

I really don’t think I’m a stupid person but sometime I do something that makes me wonder otherwise.

I have a sugar bowl, it ran out of sugar.  Not a problem, it can be refilled – with cake flour!  Not only is the packaging different but they feel different when picked up.  It’s not so bad, I was going to bake today anyway.

I finished one of the two dresses for Saturday and finishing the second today – I’m off today as I’ve just finished a five day stint in the Dungeon, luckily only three of the five were ten hour shifts.  At least working some days from home I can listen to music and drink tea.

Title box

May 5, 2007 at 15:14 (Uncategorized)

After I realised that I had lost Day Four, I wanted to cry for a long time but I went to work instead and bought two Hagaren manga.  I can’t remember a lot of what I wrote so I’m going to write something else entirely but still finishing it like it was before – it just needed to be edited but such as it is.

I’ve got two dresses to make by Tuesday, they are really simple so it’s no problem and the one is really pretty.  I’ve been given the pattern so I’m going to make them to sell; it’s a really good plus size dress – pretty and flattering.  I’ve been asked to make two cool jackets but can not find suitable material, I’ve even looked in the sections that have super expensive material but nothing and I’m running out of shops to go to.

I’m having a bit of trouble staying with the sewing in the evenings, I want to play my piano instead but I’ve been very good and limited myself to 20 minutes a day so far.  I’m really pleased as I remember four pieces rather well, they are simple by they sound like songs.  Another cool thing – I was watching a programme (English not Japanese) the other day and there were some Japanese people talking to each other and I understood about 20% of what they were saying – I think it’s pretty awesome.  Plus, I got my results for my first assignment – 69%.

I’m quite brilliant this week, however, I think my INT bar might be going down really fast but the health bar is pretty stable.  Sometimes if you still quietly in a corner, your status bar slowly goes up but now that I think about, I’ve been drinking stuff to make me feel better such as an energy tonic (so so) and soy milk (yuk) – few seconds of distaste for a day of well being … touka kouka
