Midnight snack

Aki-chan might not want to read this.

A cockroach flew in from some where last night, hit me and landed on the desk.  Usually I squash them and move on.  But not wanting guts on the desk and busy with something, I gulped the last on my tea and upended the cup over it.  Then I forgot about it until this morning.  And not being one to waste his captivity, the roach had a quick munch of envelope -

The roach was not the only desktop visitor – I had a couple of moths as well.  The small ones were fine, they sit on the screen going ‘oooh, it’s pretty…’  The big ones jump and flutter around every time I open or close something, scroll around or do anything.  And they’re a mission to catch and set free so I went to read instead.

So… the crazy drive had a wobbly and all my missing documents returned.   Very much pleased.  I even think I clapped my hands with glee.

Done again

November 20, 2009 at 17:20 (Uncategorized)

All exams are done for the year; two that I don’t know about - law and research… Meh, they’ll be what they’ll be.

Hopefully, one day, I will remember to not read anything while cooking.  I do this often but obviously, often burning my food isn’t enough to make me remember… sigh!

Height

Today while struggling to put some items in the top cupboard, I had a moment of irratition at being too short – ‘why am I so short’.   So short – ?  I place my lack of thinking on… I can’t think of anything.

Odd…

November 15, 2009 at 19:48 (Uncategorized)

I happened to mention something about S being different to her brother [L] and suddenly I though – holy hell, my sister has two kids.

Which  got me thinking about kids.  And then peoples’ reactions to statements like ‘I’m not interested in kids’ – this obviously means I like to roast and eat children for Sunday lunch.   People seem to be under the impression that if you are not interested in something, you’re against it or don’t care about.  Here is an example – I am not particularly interested in nature and its happenings.  But this does not mean that I’m against looking after it.  People should recycle, grow organic and generally look after the it but I’m not interested in finding out how it works as such.

And while I’m ranting – what the hell is wrong with people, creating 3D images and dating other 3D images online!?  Creepy!

Gross feeling

November 13, 2009 at 18:32 (Uncategorized)

The worst part about cutting my fingers is the feeling of the skin parting.  It is worse than the pain because pain is just pain but the actual slicing – agh, too gross.  I’ve sliced and stabbed the fingers of my left hand repeatedly over the last two months in a series of ridiculous ways.  Reaching around cutlery  in the drainer for a plate, packing away cutlery and today, reaching for a spoon in the drawer only to come across the blade sharp end up – what it was doing that way up I have no idea.   I think were I to cut myself using these knives for cutting, I may just take off a finger.  And angled slicing is the worst of the worst.

Communication Law

Even with an additional six months of study, I still don’t get it… Well, if I do it often enough, I might :P

I was watching the third Bleach movie the other day – I rather enjoyed it.  I thought Rukia fought like Zasalamel in the end.  I was also surprised that I remembered Zasalamel’s name but he has K.O.ed me often enough to remember, I guess.    Bleach has way better movies than Naruto.  It’s disappointing because I like Naruto more.  But nothing yet had come to beat Alchemist.  And Break Blade is being scanned again.

I found CSI Miami 4 at the video store so my weekend is set.  They also had 6 which is cool as I’ve seen 5.   That will be my treat after my final exam on Friday.

I’ve also noticed I’m loosing my ability to type… Or rather my ability to type what I’m thinking.  My fingers make up their own sentence – there are no spelling errors, only completely the wrong word – sigh!  Holiday in December…

Lines, marks and aesthetics

November 11, 2009 at 10:35 (Uncategorized)

Writing in the question book instead of the answer book has one drawback for me – a set number of lines for answers no matter whether the question mark is 5 or 10 or something else.   So sometimes there are lines left over and I really want to fill them up but I’ve answered the question.  But the empty lines look incomplete.  It looks really bad when the previous question didn’t have enough lines so the text gets smaller and finally runs off onto the page.  And I don’t want to repeat myself in case it looks like I don’t know what I’m talking about.  Then I have to say to myself – you’ve answered the question, move on!

To think other people actually worry about what their answers are and not what they look like on the page – I must be insane.

And I’m tired… so tired…

Seishi is better than Masashi when it comes to flowing action scenes but I like both artists.
